Model Data

There are a number of options for obtaining model output files.

1. Contact the PI

TOMCAT simulations produce a range of output files, including global monthly mean values, satellite sampling (fixed local time and occultation) and (sub) daily profiles at selected ground-based stations. Sampling the model along aircraft flight tracks is also an option. To obtain these files, or bespoke model output, please contact someone running the model, or Martyn Chipperfield.

2. TCOM Data

Stratospheric N2O time series

A good source of general stratospheric tracer datasets are the TCOM  or MLTOMCAT files. These datasets use machine learning to combine the TOMCAT output and satellite datasets.

3. CEDA

A variety of TOMCAT/INVICAT datasets from NERC-funded projects are available on the UK Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA). This includes some general model climatologies, as well as the main archive for data from certain published papers.

4. GitHub Page

The TOMCAT GitHub page is mainly for code, documentation and projects, but there are some links to data files (for specific projects).

5. Published Papers

Published papers have links to data used in the studies. These links now often use the Zenodo database. For further information contact the corresponding author.
